On Saturday, the 20th of July, we are walking to the top of Psiloritis mountain, in order to admire the rise of the full moon. At 4pm, we take the bus from the Bus Station of Hanioporta. We reach Migeros Lakkos (1670m), via Livadia  and start our walk from  there. We ascend the cobbled  path up to 2250m, where we meet the E4 path, which leads us to the highest summit of Crete,  Timios Stavros ( 2456 μ.).

We relax to enjoy the magnificent full moon rise and the breathtaking nocturnal view to the mainland and the Cretan and Libyan seas. Then, in the full moon light, we descend the same paths to Migeros Lakkos, where we take the bus back to Heraklion.

To participate one has to be an experienced trekker having made at least three blue or one red trekkings.
