Xerokampos [ 7-8 September ]

   This is a unique two day trekking expedition in one of the most beautiful places of Crete. Participants will have the chance to swim in crystal clear seas and walk in gorges of the wild Cretan landscape. Overnight stay in tents, within the private property of our guide, where there are toilets and water.

   We take the bus on Saturday at 8 o’clock from the bus station of Hanioporta  and we stop in Ierapetra for one hour. Then we go to the plateau of Ziros, where we visit a traditional sheep bells workshop. Following, we start a three hour hike from Ziros, walk through the homonymous gorge and end up in Xerokampos, where we camp for the night.

   We swim in one of the many beautiful beaches of Xerokampos on Sunday morning, and then we start hiking along the picturesque, southeast coast of the Lybian sea. Our hike ends at the Minoan Palace of Kato Zakros. We enjoy a refreshing swim in the deep blue sea, there.
